Joining as an Analyst
Each year, DC Advisory aims to recruit 4-6 graduates to join our analyst programme the following August. We also look for a similar number of summer interns.
Our Graduates join in mid-August and immediately start a comprehensive corporate finance course which is designed to provide a solid foundation of skills. The three-week offsite training programme covers technical and interpersonal skills. They are joined by Graduates from our French, German and Polish offices.
At the end of the course analysts join their teams and can be involved immediately in live deal processes.
Analysts are exposed to a variety of sectors and product areas while working in small, focussed teams. Our flat structure means analysts contribute from day one and strong performers progress rapidly.

Joining as an Intern
Our Interns join us in late June and spend ten weeks with the business. Interns work with one team for the duration of the internship and will be involved in the team’s current work flow. This can mean immediately being staffed on a live deal. At the end of the internship we look to make offers to successful interns to come back as Graduate Analysts.
It’s quite remarkable how you are trusted with handing in work directly to high level bankers and interacting with clients immediately.

What we look for
We are looking for highly motivated individuals who will thrive in a demanding and exciting environment. You should have strong interpersonal skills and excellent academics; good A Levels, or equivalent, and at least a 2:1 degree in any academic discipline.
You do not need a background in finance or to have had an internship in investment banking. We are looking for people with commercial acumen, business awareness and a real interest in working in M&A. You should, however, be ready to be challenged on your understanding of M&A and valuation theory during the interview process.
Do your homework: understand DC as a business, how the debt and M&A sides really complement one another - it will show in your application.

Key dates and process
Applications open 1st October 2018 for both Analyst and Intern positions. Please follow the link below to submit your application.
Our recruitment partner, Dartmouth Partners, will conduct telephone and face-to-face interviews during October and November.
You will also complete verbal and numerical online tests as part of your application.
Successful candidates will be invited to an assessment day at DC’s offices:
Graduates 29th November 2018
Interns 7th December 2018
Interviews are designed to find out more about you, your knowledge and interest in DC Advisory and your understanding of M&A theory.
I would advise researching the industry and the job well before applying, as it requires a high level of commitment.

Assessment days can sound daunting. They are designed to be challenging- we are trying to test the best candidates in the market. On the day you can expect two interviews, each lasting around 40 minutes, one will be quite general and the other more technical. You will also have a case study to work on during the day, designed to test your awareness of basic technical concepts but also your commercial acumen. You will be questioned on your case study during the technical interview.
We try and make offers to successful candidates within a few days.
