London and New York, April 16, 2018 – The M&A Advisor today announced that DC Advisory UK's Chief Executive, Richard Madden, is a recipient of the 2018 M&A Advisor Leadership Award. Richard is to be honoured for his contribution to the mergers and acquisitions industry at the 2nd Annual Corporate Growth Awards on Wednesday, 25 April, 2018 at The Lansdowne Club in Mayfair, London. He will be formally admitted into the prestigious M&A Advisor Hall of Fame, joining an exclusive community of previous winners, including global industry leaders US Commerce Secretary Wilbur L. Ross, Wang Wei and Mario Garnero, among numerous others. Richard was appointed as DC Advisory UK Chief Executive in 2009 and has more than twenty years’ experience advising companies across both debt and equity fundraising and M&A across Europe and in the United States. In the last five years the firm has seen a doubling of revenue, with the performance of the Technology, Media & Telecoms (TMT) team – led by Richard – critical to that growth. This has been further bolstered by the recent acquisition of two US investment banking boutiques which have a particular focus on technology and media, and have formed DC Advisory’s sister company, DCS Advisory. Prior to DC Advisory, Richard was a Senior Managing Director at Bear Stearns and a Managing Director at ING Barings. He joined ING Barings from Arthur Andersen. He was also the non-executive Chairman of Group NBT plc which was sold to HgCapital in a public to private transaction in 2012. Richard is a Chartered Accountant and a Classics graduate from Jesus College, Cambridge. Richard Madden, Chief Executive of DC Advisory UK, commented: “I am extremely proud to be recognised with the M&A Advisor Leadership Award and of what we have achieved at DC Advisory. I believe that the firm’s success has been driven by the provision of the right advice for clients, in the right way, and look forward to continuing this strategy on an increasingly global scale. Rather than feeling jaded by nine years at the helm, I’m more excited about the future than ever before.” David Fergusson, President and CEO of The M&A Advisor, added: “It is truly a great honour to recognise Richard with this award,” stated David Fergusson, President and CEO of The M&A Advisor. “The M&A Advisor Leadership Award was created to celebrate the ingenuity, perseverance and creativity of corporate finance professionals. Richard truly exemplifies those qualities and our industry has been the beneficiary of his notable contribution.” To learn more about the 2018 Corporate Growth Awards Gala, click here >
