London, 30 April, 2018, DC Advisory (DC), a leading corporate finance adviser, has today announced its promotion of one M&A banker to managing director and seven to executive director in its Frankfurt and London offices. The individuals are recognised for their achievements in originating and executing deals within their sectors, which include business services, industrials and energy, infrastructure, TMT (technology, media and telecoms), and China / Europe cross-border transactions. These promotions mark a time of significant growth for DC Advisory – which this year saw a record number of deals completed in Europe and, recently, the launch of its sister firm, DCS Advisory, in North America.
Carsten Burger is promoted to managing director in DC Advisory’s Frankfurt office. Carsten joined DC in 2006 and since then has been focusing on the industrial technology and related services sectors where he has advised leading international corporations and financial investors. Most recent deals for private equity include the sale of EDS, Elevion and Isolite. Corporate clients include Bosch, Diehl, EON, Mitsubishi Electric and Viessmann – some of which he has advised on multiple transactions. Previously, Carsten worked as a strategy consultant at Deloitte Consulting, amongst other firms.
Martin Krastev, Phillip Hyman, Sebastian Daumueller, James Pople, James Nichols, Amish Bakhai and Endong Zhai have been promoted to executive director in London.
Martin and Phillip are part of DC UK’s market-leading infrastructure team and have worked on deals across energy and midstream, healthcare and transport, and core regulated assets and core plus hybrid assets Europe-wide, respectively. Most notably, transactions include SL Capital’s acquisition of an 18% interest in Noordgastransport UV and the refinancing of Koole Terminals. Sebastian covers technology, media and adjacent sectors, and has advised on high profile domestic and complex cross-border deals, such as the sale of Northgate Public Services to NEC. James, James and Amish have significantly contributed to the growth of DC’s business services franchise, working with clients such as CPA Global, Thomas International and Citation, respectively. Endong Zhai is responsible for originating and executing deals involving Asian parties with a particular focus on China/Europe relationships – completing deals with a number of leading Chinese enterprises such as Sailing Capital.
Alongside these promotions, DC France has announced its hire of Gregory Roquier from Mediobanca, as managing director of the firm’s infrastructure offering. Gregory has 18 years of experience in investment banking and will lead the firm’s infrastructure and energy equity and debt advisory mandates.
DC makes this announcement alongside its sister firm, DCS Advisory in North America, where four promotions to managing director and director have been made. See DCS Advisory’s press release here >
