London, 5 May, 2017, DC Advisory (DC), a leading corporate finance adviser and the European M&A arm of Daiwa, today announced it has promoted one M&A banker to managing director and four to executive director in its Paris and London offices. The individuals are recognised for their achievements in originating and executing deals within their sector specialisms which include business services, healthcare, industrials, leisure and retail (L&R) and debt advisory. Alexis Matheron is promoted to managing director. Alexis joined DC in 2002, having been an internal auditor for Renault and a leveraged finance specialist at Natixis. He specialises in the business services and L&R (particularly restaurants) sectors as well as private equity relationships. He most recently advised: Suez on the sale of its Finnish branch; Keneo shareholders on the sale of the company to Dentsu Aegis; TDF on the acquisition of ITAS; and, Bacacier on the sale of a stake to Edmond de Rothschild Investment Partners. Alexis spent 2011 to 2013 in the M&A department of Daiwa, DC’s parent company, in Hong Kong and has a unique insight into the Asian market as a result. Edward Godfrey, Thierry Marie, Frédéric Meyer and Louis Vercken are promoted to executive director. Edward has been with the firm since 2014 and is a debt specialist with 12 years’ experience in leveraged finance from BNP Paribas and RBS. He recently advised 3i on the sale of ESG and Graphite on the acquisition of Beck & Pollitzer. Thierry has been with the firm since 2006 and covers industrials; he recently worked on the acquisition of Faiveley Transport by Wabtec and the disposal of Alteo’s operations to Imerys. Frédéric has been with DC since 2005, specialises in healthcare and worked on the acquisition of IP Santé and AMS by a consortium of investors led by HLD and the merger of Almaviva Santé and Domus Cliniques. Louis has been with DC since 2004 and most recently worked on the sale of Groupe Carso to a consortium of French private equity firms and the carve-out transaction of Babcock Wanson sold by the CNIM Group to FCDE. -ENDS-
