25 March 2026, London – DC Advisory, an international investment bank committed to making a difference, today announces that its Global Infrastructure Group has been recognized for its role in advising Stockholm Exergi and its shareholders on its SEK 13bn investment and debt financing of its BECCS facility at the IJGlobal Awards 2025.
IJGlobal Awards recognize market-leading greenfield and refinancing transactions across the energy and Infrastructure sectors, spotlighting achievements that demonstrate excellence, innovation, and leadership.
This award reflects DC Advisory’s role in advising Stockholm Exergi on a landmark transaction that directly supports Sweden’s ambition to become climate-positive by 2045 and contributes to the European Union’s long-term climate objectives. Acting as joint financial adviser with ICECAPITAL, DC Advisory led a successful financing process from supranational, local and international banks, as well as a credit rating process that enhanced the project’s credibility and unlocked access to institutional capital. This financing structure represents a first for large-scale BECCS projects in Europe, setting a precedent for future carbon removal initiatives.
