DC Advisory advised 3i on the acquisition of Schlemmer Group from Hannover Finanz

DC Advisory acted as exclusive M&A advisor to funds advised by 3i Group plc (“3i”) on the acquisition of Schlemmer Group (“Schlemmer” or “the Company”) from HANNOVER Finanz GmbH (“HF”).

Schlemmer is an internationally leading manufacturer of cable protection systems for automotive and industrial applications. The Company, headquartered in Poing next to Munich, manufactures and sells its products with c. 2,500 employees through 23 locations in 14 countries. Schlemmer’s long lasting customer base ranges from Tier-1 suppliers to OEMs in Europe, North America and Asia.

In 2012, HF acquired a majority stake in Schlemmer and has since then driven the strong growth as well as the internationalization and product diversification of the Company. With 3i as the new owner, it is planned to strengthen the strategic market position in Europe and Asia as well as to further develop the highly promising North American market.
