Background

  • The private group Almaviva Santé was looking to pursue its external growth strategy and entered into exclusive negotiations with the Liévain family and Naxicap Partners, the shareholders of Groupe Monceau, for the acquisition of Clinique Internationale du Parc Monceau and Clinique Turin, both located in Paris
  • Clinique Internationale du Parc Monceau was founded in 1970 in the heart of the plaine Monceau area and today offers an accommodation capacity of 140 beds
  • Clinique Turin was founded in 1882 in the heart of the Europe neighbourhood and today offers an accommodation capacity of 250 beds
  • Through their complementary centres of excellence, the two clinics offer care and services in all medical specialities, have all diagnostic and interventional imaging equipment, as well as consultation centres and reference units in oncology and nephrology
  • Founded in 2007 by Bruno Marie through the acquisition of a first clinic in Marseille, Almaviva Santé has since grown through multiple external growth operations
  • After the integration of Groupe Monceau, Almaviva Santé will manage 36 clinics in the Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur and Ile-de-France regions

Process

  • DC Advisory acted as exclusive financial advisor to Almaviva Santé and its shareholders, Antin Infrastructure Partners and SRS

Outcome

  • In line with its strategy to develop regional centres of excellence, and already a leader in private hospitalisation in the PACA region with 17 clinics, Almaviva Santé will increase its presence, from 17 to 19 clinics, in the Ile-de-France region
  • The acquisition of Groupe Monceau will strengthen Almaviva Santé’s position in the Paris region, which already includes Alma (7th arrondissement), Sainte Thérèse (17th), Arago (14th) and Paris Lilas (Seine-Saint-Denis, Ile-de-France region), establishing a strong regional footprint and reinforcing Almaviva Santé's reputation for medical excellence
