DC Advisory advised Bencis and Gimv on the sale of Xeikon to Flint Group

Xeikon N.V. (“Xeikon”) is a leading provider of digital printing solutions to the labels and packaging and document printing markets.

DC Advisory (“DC”) was engaged by Bencis and Gimv to advise on the sale of Xeikon following in-bound expressions of interest from strategic purchasers in North America, Europe and Asia.

The shareholders received multiple pre-emptive offers for Xeikon, the most attractive of which was proposed by Flint Group ("Flint").

On 18 November 2015, Bencis and Gimv entered into a definitive agreement to sell their 95% stake in Xeikon to Flint (the “Transaction”). The terms of the Transaction were not disclosed.

Xeikon’s pioneering products and services will be the foundation of the newly created Flint Group Digital Printing Solutions division, led by Xeikon’s incumbent CEO, Wim Maes.

The Transaction, which has no impact on the current squeeze out procedure and is subject to customary closing conditions including approval by competition authorities, is expected to complete by the end of 2015.

DC Advisory played a key role in maintaining competitive tension throughout the process, which ultimately led to a swift and successful conclusion. Their insights into international strategic buyers in the printing industry helped to secure this strong result.
