DC Advisory advised Cardtronics on the acquisition of Cardpoint Services from Payzone

Cardpoint Services Ltd ("Cardpoint") trades as the leading independent ATM services provider Cashzone in the United Kingdom and as Cardpoint in Germany. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Payzone.

Cardpoint operates 800 ATMs in Germany; Cashzone has 7,100 machines in the UK, of which 1,800 are free-to-use ATMs located primarily at independent convenience stores and service stations.

Cardtronics acquired Cardpoint from Payzone on 7 August 2013 for c. £100m.

DC Advisory Manchester, led by Managing Director Richard Pulford, acted as financial adviser to Cardtronics.

Cardtronics' European operations, comprising Cashzone, Cardpoint and Bank Machine, will now operate under the single brand of Cardtronics Europe.

Jonathan Simpson-Dent has been appointed Managing Director of Cardtronics Europe, having served as Cardpoint’s Chief Executive Officer since March 2012.

With this transformative acquisition, Cardtronics establishes itself as the leading ATM operator in both the U.K. and Germany, laying the foundation upon which to build a Cardtronics Europe scale business to complement our North American operations. This is the second acquisition this year where we have worked with DC Advisory. We thank DC Advisory for their expertise and professionalism and look forward to working with them again in the future
