DC Advisory advised Catapult Learning on the acquisition of Newton Alliance

CAMDEN, N.J., Jan. 7, 2014  — Catapult Learning, LLC, a leading provider of intervention services and professional development programs for K-12 schools, announced today that it has acquired Newton Alliance, LLC.  Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

As part of the transaction, Catapult Learning acquired the Newton Alliance customer and product portfolio including:

–Alliance™:  a comprehensive, school improvement and professional development program
–eValuate™:   an online formative assessment and reporting engine, built with new, interactive Common Core assessment items
–Learning Force™:  a proven math and reading intervention services program for grades 3-8
–Summer Journey™:  a summer school program focused on project-based learning

The acquisition will extend Catapult Learning’s reach into new public school markets across the country, and enable Catapult to further strengthen its professional development expertise by leveraging Alliance’s nationally validated approach to school improvement and capacity building.

In combination with Newton Alliance, Catapult Learning’s more than 4,000 educators now provide instructional intervention services and professional development in 19 of the top 25 school districts in the United States.  Acquiring these programs gives us additional scale, technology, and expertise to further promote sustainable academic achievement across the nation.
