DC Advisory advised Charterhouse on the acquisition of Sagemcom from The Carlyle Group

On 30 September 2016, Charterhouse Capital Partners (Charterhouse) completed the acquisition of Sagemcom from The Carlyle Group (Carlyle).

Since it left the Safran group in 2008, Sagemcom has become one of the major players in the field of communicating terminals (high-end digital TV set-top boxes, very high speed broadband residential terminals and advanced smart meters) and operates in three dynamic markets: broadband, smart city and internet of things.

DC Advisory (DC) acted as sole financial advisor to Charterhouse on the acquisition of the majority stake held by Carlyle in Sagemcom in a one-on-one negotiation.

With this acquisition, Charterhouse intends to support the CEO Patrick Sevian and his management team to strengthen Sagemcom’s position in broadband and energy markets worldwide.
