DC Advisory advised Cinven on the acquisition of Northgate Public Services

Northgate Public Services (“NPS”) provides software and related outsourcing services to UK public sector markets including Local Government, Government Agencies, Public Safety and Healthcare.

NPS’ software and services are used by over 400 UK local authorities, UK regional police forces, social housing providers in the UK and internationally, and NHS hospitals. Its IT projects support the sharing of information for criminal intelligence and investigations across UK police forces and the management of maternity records across NHS hospitals.

DC Advisory ("DC") was engaged by Cinven to provide M&A advice on the acquisition of NPS from its parent company Northgate Information Solutions.

During a competitive auction process DC provided Cinven with detailed insight into the business as well as wider sector expertise, on-the-ground intelligence and strategic advice.

Cinven completed the acquisition of NPS in December 2014. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
