CHEP Aerospace Solutions (CHEP Aerospace or the company) is a global leader in pooling, managing, maintaining and repairing unit load devices (ULDs) and galley carts.

In August 2016, DC Advisory (DC) was mandated to provide M&A and debt advice to EQT Infrastructure II (EQT) on the acquisition of CHEP Aerospace.

DC has an in-depth understanding of the airport infrastructure sector having recently advised 3i Infrastructure plc and Deutsche Alternative Asset Management Ltd on the acquisition of TCR, a ground service equipment leasing company.

The DC team ran a focused M&A process, assisting EQT in conducting extensive due diligence, commercial negotiations, financial modelling and legal drafting.

The acquisition was signed and announced on 2 November 2016 following a largely bilateral process executed within a tight timetable.

EQT intends to support CHEP Aerospace in gaining further market share from the increasing outsourcing trend from airlines and the growing popularity of the pooled business model.

This transaction highlights DC’s market leading position in the hybrid infrastructure sector.
