DC Advisory advised Kyocera Corporation on its acquisition of Showa Optronics from NEC Corporation

Kyocera Corporation (Kyocera), a Japanese multinational manufacturer of ceramics and electronics, has acquired Showa Optronics, an optical components manufacturer from NEC Corporation. 

DC Advisory Japan acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Kyocera Corporation.

The transaction is expected to strengthen Kyocera's optical components business. Kyocera will expand into new business fields such as laser-related markets and will aim to become a top manufacturer in the optical component industry.

Kyocera will strive to further expand its business through the synergistic effects of technology fusion of both companies and the effective utilization of Kyocera's worldwide sales network and production bases.
