DC Advisory advised Lumenaza on its funding and secondary sale

Background 

• DC Advisory (DC) acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Lumenaza, a leading software-as-a-service platform for green utilities
• Lumenaza's energy-as-a-service software platform empowers innovative green utilities to diversify their offering and deploy customer-centered new energy services fast
• Lumenaza's platform is built to scale and to support multi-market operations, allowing the company to expand its offering to geographies outside of Germany. Exploratory projects have already been successfully executed in Sweden, the UK and Spain, with the latter being currently one of Lumenaza's priority markets for growth

Process

• DC ran a comprehensive process covering financial and strategic investors globally with the aim to find the right partner to further leverage Lumenaza’s unique and scalable software platform internationally

Outcome

• Lumenaza’s Series B funding was led by First Imagine! and NEW KRAFTWERK Technology AG (NEW KRAFTWERK), with follow-on support from Future Energy Ventures and IBB Ventures
• In addition, NEW KRAFTWERK acquires a significant stake and buys out EnBW New Ventures after five successful years of continuous growth and economic success
• The funds will be used to enhance Lumenaza's energy-as-a-service platform and services for new and existing customers globally, such as E.ON, SMA and Envision
• This transaction once more underpins DC’s strong expertise and capacity to execute and deliver in the very active Technology & Software sector, combining global reach and deep sector experience
