DC Advisory advised MAPFRE on the sale of MAPFRE QUAVITAE to Grupo SAR

DC Advisory has advised listed Spanish Insurance company MAPFRE, S.A. on the disposal of a spin-off its Elderly Care Company MAPFRE QUAVITAE to Grupo SAR, a portfolio Company of Palamon Capital Partners.

MAPFRE QUAVITAE was owned by MAPFRE, S.A. (57%) and Caja Madrid (43%).

DC Advisory acted as MAPFRE’s sole external advisor in the transaction, assisting MAPFRE in the sale process.

The transaction involves the split of the Company in an OpCo (sold to Grupo Sar) and a PropCo, that will remain owned by the former shareholders, and that will rent a number of elderly homes to Grupo SAR.

This transaction represents the creation of a national leader in the Elderly Care Business and the cornerstone for Palamon’s build up strategy in the sector.
