DC Advisory advised Sagard Private Equity Partners on the acquisition of IPACKCHEM

IPACKCHEM is a leading manufacturer of plastic packaging based in France. Its high barrier products are used chiefly in the transport and storage of agrochemical products, aromas and fragrances for which permeability, contamination and evaporation constraints are critical.

DC Advisory (DC) was engaged by Sagard Equity Partners (Sagard) in November 2016 to provide M&A and debt advice in relation to the acquisition of IPACKCHEM.

Having previously advised Bpifrance and Céréa on the carve-out of IPACKCHEM from Chesapeake, DC’s knowledge of the business, its markets and process intelligence enabled Sagard to rapidly secure a preferred position.

Sagard entered into a definitive agreement for the acquisition of Céréa and Bpifrance’s majority stake in IPACKCHEM, with management retaining a minority stake in the business.

The transaction completed on 15 February 2017, the terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
