DC Advisory advised Shanghai Wanye on its acquisition of Compart Systems

DC Advisory (DC) acted as financial advisor to Shanghai Wanye on its acquisition of Compart Systems for USD 398 Mn.

Through this acquisition, Shanghai Wanye looks to leverage Compart Systems’ global network and long-standing relationships with major participants in the semiconductor sector to become a leading equipment and parts producer in the sector.

Shanghai Wanye Enterprises Co. Ltd. 'Shanghai Wanye' is a China based company principally engaged in the development and sales of properties. Shanghai Wanye has expanded into the semiconductor industry by acquiring Kingstone Semiconductor, one of the largest ion implanter makers in the world.

Compart Systems is a leading global supplier of highly engineered, complex gas delivery components fittings, build to print, surface mounts, speciality seals and assemblies gas sticks, mass flow controllers, weldments for the semiconductor sector. Compart Systems has its headquarters in Singapore, manufacturing plants in China and Malaysia, sales and warehousing location in the US and distribution facility in Hong Kong.

Shanghai Wanye was attracted to Compart Systems due to its vertically integrated technology and IP, regional production facilities, as well as its global sales and warehousing network and customer base.

Post-acquisition, Shanghai Wanye will collaborate closely with Compart Systems’ management to integrate its operation and extract synergies and expanding its platform in the semiconductor sector.
