DC Advisory advises CLSA on the sale of its shares in Ecolocity to Advantage Partners

Background

  • Based in Hong Kong, CLSA is one of Asia’s leading private equity and investment firms, operating in 20 locations across Asia, Australia, Europe and the United States
  • Sunrise Capital III, CLSA’s fund, invests in established mid-cap companies and acquired Ecolocity in 2018. Showing strong growth potential in Japan, CLSA supported Ecolocity’s expansion utilizing its global network. Sunrise Capital has raised c. USD 1.5BN to date and completed investments in approximately 40 companies
  • Ecolocity is a Japanese parking lot service provider, managing approx. 4,200 parking lots nationwide

Process

  • DC Advisory (DC) was appointed by CLSA to act as exclusive financial advisor and provide comprehensive sell-side advice on the divested shares of Sunrise Capital III in Ecolocity

Outcome

  • The deal closed on December 26, 2022
  • Ecolocity is expected to continue its growth journey and expand its offerings as part of Japanese private equity find, Advantage Partners  
  • This transaction further illustrates DC’s expertise in global private equity sell-side transactions
