DC Advisory advises InfraBridge (previously AMP Capital) on the sale of its four assets
Background
- AMP Capital was rebranded as InfraBridge after it was acquired by the DigitalBridge Group (NYSE: DBRG), in February 2023 in a transaction valued at $316 million
- InfraBridge is a mid-market infrastructure manager focusing on transport, logistics, digital infrastructure and energy transition
- Managing $8.9bn in infrastructure equity assets and $5.1bn in fee-earning AUM, InfraBridge oversees 15 portfolio companies employing over 23,200 people. The firm targets mid-market assets ($100-500m equity)
- InfraBridge managed the Irish state-backed Infrastructure Investment Fund (IIF). The IIF comprised four assets: the Convention Centre Dublin, the telecom towers business Towercom, the healthcare firm Valley Healthcare and the Speed Fibre Group
Process
- DC Advisory advised InfraBridge on the sale of the IIF’s four assets: the Convention Centre Dublin, Towercom, Valley Healthcare and the Speed Fibre Group
- John Laing acquired Towercom, Valley Healthcare and the Convention Centre Dublin in a portfolio transaction
- Cordiant acquired Speed Fibre Group in a separate transaction
- DC Advisory co-advised with Jefferies on this transaction, running a competitive multi-phase process with IBI focusing on the Convention Centre Dublin and Valley Healthcare assets
Outcome
- In December 2022, the IIF sold three of its four assets to UK infrastructure investor John Laing. These assets include the Convention Centre Dublin, Towercom and Valley Healthcare
- In October 2023, Speed Fibre Group was sold to UK based Cordiant Digital Infrastructure for €190.5m
- This transaction highlights DC Advisory’s extensive experience in the Infrastructure sector
"DC Advisory and Jefferies worked closely together supporting AMP Capital throughout the process. Their commitment and support to the management teams throughout the process was instrumental and ensured a successful exit for the IIF”.
“This was a great result on the back of a uniquely complex process to sell a portfolio of assets in a highly competitive process in parallel with supporting AMP in the realisation process for this fund”.
