DC Advisory advises Sabeo Holdings Limited on its sale to BPVA Ireland Ltd

Background

  • Sabeo Holdings Limited (Sabeo) is a specialist IT contracting and staffing services business, focused on sourcing and placing IT contractors for temporary positions within the IT, Financial Services and Engineering sectors
  • BPVA Ireland Ltd (BPVA), backed by Duke Capital, has a number of Irish portfolio companies operating in the employment services sector, including Brightwater, PE Global, Vantage, and Raretec
  • Sabeo was seeking a partner to help continue its growth and further strengthen its position in the Irish market

Process

  • DC Advisory was engaged by Sabeo to act as its exclusive financial advisor on its sale to BPVA 
  • DC Advisory worked with Sabeo to identify a shortlist of potential acquirers
  • DC Advisory used its wealth of knowledge in the employment services sector to identify a tailored group of appropriate buyers
  • As part of this transaction DC Advisory leveraged its well-established, existing relationship with the BPVA shareholders having previously advised on the sell-side for two of its portfolio investments: PE Global and Vantage

Outcome

  • In May 2024, Sabeo was acquired by BPVA, to form part of its recruitment and staffing portfolio
  • The main commercial objective of the proposed transaction is to enhance BPVA’s existing three major businesses (Brightwater, PE Global and Vantage) to source and place IT contractors for temporary positions 
  • The transaction completed in May 2024
  • This transaction further showcases DC Advisory’s deep expertise in the Business Services space
