With a strong start to 2019, PE firms are expected to continue driving M&A activity in the region, as a result of more realistic pricing expectations than in other European locations, and fragmented markets in need of generating scale.
The key transactions that took place during the period include:
Consumer, Leisure & Retail
- Parcom Capital acquired a stake in Nedac Sorbo Mascot, the specialist developer, distributor and marketer of non- and near-food essentials, from Capital A and NPM Capital, for an undisclosed consideration
- Silverfleet Capital acquired STAXS, the distributor of leading cleanroom consumables brands, for an undisclosed consideration
Healthcare
- Eurazeo acquired Dutch Ophthalmic Research Center International (DORC), the provider of instruments and equipment for anterior and posterior ophthalmic surgery, from Montagu Private Equity, for an undisclosed consideration
Services
- GIMV acquired Coolworld Rentals, the full-service rental specialist in cooling and heating equipment, for an undisclosed consideration
