DC Advisory advised ReadSpeaker Holding on its sale to HOYA

DC Advisory* is pleased to announce that its client ReadSpeaker Holding B.V. (ReadSpeaker), along with its subsidiaries, has been acquired by The Memory Disk Division (MD) of The HOYA Group announced today that it has acquired ReadSpeaker Holding B.V. (ReadSpeaker) and its subsidiaries.  The purchase price was not disclosed.  ReadSpeaker will be operated as a subsidiary of the Speech Synthesizer business unit of MD.

Readspeaker is a leading text-to-speech technology and services company that develops and commercializes products to audibly read text in a human sounding voice.  ReadSpeaker has subsidiaries in 7 countries in Europe, as well as entities in the US and Australia, and provides its products and services in 62 countries.

The Speech Synthesizer business unit of MD is a global text-to-speech product and services unit with operations in Japan, Korea and the U.S.

As a global technology-driven company, ReadSpeaker will augment the language development capabilities and future commercial applications for our Speech Synthesizer products in the global market.  This acquisition continues our pursuit of innovation both internally and through our acquisition, externalization and partnering activities.
