DC Advisory advises Advantage Partners on the sale of its shares in YARUKI Switch Group Holdings to TBS Holdings

  • YARUKI Switch Group Holdings Co.,Ltd. (YSH) is a Japanese educational service provider offering supplemental learning, early childhood education, English childcare, bilingual kindergartens, and operates over 1,800 schools globally
  • TBS Holdings, Inc. (TBSHD) is a Japanese media and broadcasting holding company operating television and radio businesses through its subsidiaries

Process

  • DC Advisory acted as an exclusive financial advisor to Advantage Partners and provided comprehensive sell-side advice on the sale of its shares in YSH

Outcome

  • The deal was closed on June 29, 2023

  • TBSHD acquired a 78% stake in YSH for JPY 28.7B

  • Following the acquisition, the addition of TBSHD’s customer base, creative and content production capabilities will enable YSH to explore and create new educational business opportunities
  • This transaction demonstrates DC Advisory’s wealth of expertise in private equity and sell-side advisory
