• Iqony (formerly known as STEAG) is a renewable energy and climate-neutral technology service provider operating worldwide
• SFW Energia Sp. z o.o. (SFW Energia) is a subsidiary of Iqony, a Polish energy provider operating essential district heating, cooling and power generation plants and aiming to achieve net-zero carbon emission by 2035

Process

• DC Advisory (DC) was exclusively appointed by Iqony to provide strategic advice on the sale of SFW Energia to one of the world’s largest recycling, water management and communal service provider company, Remondis
• DC worked closely with the shareholders and management team to prepare SFW Energia for the transaction, including identifying suitable partners, preparing supporting documentation, negotiating and  managing a broad and competitive process to maximize value creation for Iqony

Outcome

• The transaction closed on 20 April 2023
• This transaction further illustrates DC’s strong expertise in the  Infrastructure sector and enhances DC’s know-how in energy transition space in CEE
