Jonathan Bayer

Jonathan is part of our DC Advisory US team based in New York, where he serves as General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer and a Managing Director; he has over 20 years of legal, compliance and transactional experience, including over a decade of experience as a General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer.

He previously served as General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer and a Managing Director at Sagent Advisors, which was acquired by DC's parent company, Daiwa Securities, in 2018. He has also served as Chief Counsel at Willis Capital Markets & Advisory (the investment banking arm of Willis Towers Watson) and as a Senior Vice President and Counsel at Lehman Brothers / Barclays, where he advised the investment banking division. He worked in private practice as a corporate attorney at Weil, Gotshal & Manges, LLP.

Jonathan received his B.S.B.A. from the Ohio State University and his JD from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University, where he graduated magna cum laude and was elected to the Order of the Coif. He is a member of the bar in New York.
