Vik Sharma

Based in our San Francisco office, Vik is a Managing Director specializing in Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Software. Vik brings 20 years of experience in technology investment banking, corporate strategy and technology operations at leading global firms.

Vik joins from William Blair where he led the firm's cybersecurity investment banking practice globally and was a senior leader of the infrastructure software investment banking team. He has also held senior positions at Samsung, BlackBerry, and TELUS, serving in corporate development, strategy, enterprise sales, and system engineering roles.

Notable transactions include advising: CoSoSys, a portfolio company of Turn/River, on its sale to Netwrix, a portfolio company of TA Associates and Centerbridge; CVC Capital Partners' in connection with its significant minority investment in TOPDESK; ActiveState, a portfolio company of Turn/River, on its sale to Vertu Capital; PDQ, a portfolio company of TA Associates, in connection with a significant growth investment from Berkshire Partners; Bain Capital Tech Opportunities in connection with a $190 million growth investment in Blackpoint Cyber (Blackpoint), with participation from Accel; BlueCat, a portfolio company of Madison Dearborn Partners, LLC (MDP) on its sale to Audax Group; Outpost24, a portfolio company of Monterro, in connection with its sale to Vitruvian Partners; and Invicti Security, a portfolio company of Turn/River, in connection with a $625 million strategic growth investment led by Summit Partners.

Vik earned MBA degree in Finance from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management and his BASc in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia.
